TMJ Pain & Dysfunction

The jaw is known as the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and is the articulation of the jaw with the head. Pain can arise from this area through injury, inflammatory disease, stress, postures and habits.

The most common symptoms associated with TMJ dysfunction are pain in the jaw and facial muscles, clicking, grinding, locking, headaches and dizziness, difficulty opening or closing the mouth, pain with speaking, eating and chewing.

Our physiotherapists are experienced in assessing and treating TMJ pain and dysfunction and will provide you with a diagnosis and comprehensive rehabilitation program to reduce pain and restore function.
